Alvin S. Blackwell was born on March 7, 1953 in Manhattan New York to the late Kenneth Blackwell Sr.and Julia Avery Simmons.

He attended grade school in Salisbury, North Carolina , where shortly after be enlisted in the Marine Corps. Through the years he had several employment opportunities, where He ended his career path with retirement at Safety Taxi  where he worked over 20 years.

He is preceded in death with his daughter Camille Blackwell and granddaughter TyQuasha Sade Mclane siblings Kenneth Blackwell Jr, Carolyn  Williams, Carlton Blackwell,Maraget Blackwell , and Ricky Blackwell.

He leaves to carry on his legacy his daughters Fatima McLane (Eric) and Zelphia Jennings (John). Siblings Benjamin Blackwell, Gail Blackwell and Beverly Goodjohn,seven grandchildren Laquaana Blackwell, Ieshia Jones,Mikkiera Blackwell, Dorothy Carpenter, Jakayla Jennings, Ziryah Jennings, and Ava Jennings.

He also had a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Alvin S Blackwell was truly loved by some many people and he will be deeply missed.
