Anita
Scott
Aug 22, 1966 — Apr 9, 2025
Lexington
Our beloved mother, Anita Taylor Scott, age 58, was born on August 22, 1966, in Queens, New York, to Juanita Harris Taylor and the late Clyde Burton Taylor. She passed away on April 9, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, surrounded by her loved ones.
Anita retired from Kimberly-Clark in 2009 due to health concerns. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Burton Taylor; her granddaughter, Daiya A. Baldie; her grandparents, Forest and Marindia Harris, and Eugene and Pannie L. Hargrove; uncles: Forest, Rommie, Kenneth, and Darrell Harris; and aunts, Barbara Edwards and Joan Richardson.
Anita had a heart full of love and hands skilled in extravagant cooking, which she joyfully shared with her family and friends. She had a special gift for nurturing others—always ready to help and never missed a chance to spoil her nieces and nephews.
A loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and dear friend, Anita leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Juanita Taylor; a son, Jeremy Jermaine Taylor; a daughter, Desiree Neeco Hogan; grandsons, Dylan Baldie and Carter Taylor; her sisters: Carolyn Taylor, Clydith Taylor, Gloria Ann Taylor, and Patricia (Tyrone) Steele; aunts: Carol Vickers, Doris Davis, Marindia (Billy) Bennett, Lillie Calhoun, Betty Richardson, Debra (Eric) King, and Sherry (Alvin) Hargrave; uncles: Dana Harris, Quintin Harris, James Hargrove, Pastor Malvin (Latasha) Hargrove, and Stanley (Debra) Hogan; a special cousin, Antoinette Burton; her god-daughters: Alandra and Anthonique Reid and the love of her life all of her nieces and nephews. She leaves a treasured presence in her life Dennis Scott.
