Annie Elizabeth Conner, 78, formerly of East Spencer, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Winston-Salem, NC, with her daughter by her bedside.

Ms. Conner was born on January 22, 1948, in Salisbury, North Carolina, to the late Mary Elizabeth Correll and Ray Junior Conner. She grew up in Salisbury, attended J.C. Price High School, and graduated on June 1, 1967. She later retired from PPG Industries in Lexington, North Carolina, where she formed close friendships with many of her co-workers.

Annie was a former member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Hawkinstown, where she served on the Kitchen Committee and Missionary Board. She truly enjoyed serving and helping others, especially those in need, and was deeply dedicated to the upkeep of her home and family.

Known for her comical sense of humor, Annie will be remembered for bringing laughter to everyone around her. She enjoyed going on cruises, traveling with family and friends, cooking, and sewing. She also loved watching television, particularly her favorite show, Judge Judy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Edward Dwain Conner; and her brother, Ray Henry Conner.

She leaves precious memories to her daughter, Pamela C. Ingram; her grandchildren, Antonio B. Ingram, Jr., Brendan A. Ingram, and Donte' Connor; her sister, Mary Ann Brown (Wayne); her brother, James Kelly (Diane); several great-grandchildren and nephews, Kendrick Brown, Jaden Brown, Jamone Kelly(Micah), and Ryan Evans; great niece; Micaela Kelly and a host of other relatives and friends.
