Barbara Rebecca Blair Blackwell, 72 of Salisbury departed this Earthly Life on Monday September 1, 2025 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center was born to the late Henry Blair, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Blackwell on March 11,1953 in Rowan County.

She attended Dunbar High School and was employed as a Supervisor of Housekeeping at Howard Johnson in High Point, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Henry Blair, Jr., Mary E. Blackwell, brothers; Donald M.Blackwell, Ricky Blair, sister; Darlene Blair and stepmother; Jean Blair.

She leaves memories to her daughters; Tonya Burts,  Salisbury, Iesha Cuthbertson,of the home, special grandson; Jaquarius Cuthbertson reared in the home, brothers; Billy Ray Washington, Winston-Salem, James H. Blackwell, Jr., Salisbury, Curtis Blackwell, Sr. Winston-Salem, sisters; Deborah Blackwell, East Spencer, Marilyn Blackwell, Nashville, NC, Alfreda Thompson(Chris), Concord,NC, Cheryl Smith(Wynston), Sophia Blackwell, Salisbury, Lisa Gasque (Que), Concord,NC , grandchildren; Dontae Burts, Shaketta Burts, Janeashia Dina Wall, Tashownia Wall, seventeen grandchildren,special friends: Melvin Nesbitt, Quinthia Sifford, a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life : Friday September 12, at 2:00 p.m. Rowan Funeral  Services Chapel, no public viewing.
