Bernice Woods Imes 92, of Salisbury was born to the late Anna Jane Hyde Woods and Conyers Woods in Rowan County on June 30,1932 transition from this Earthly life on Friday December 13,2024.

She was educated in the Rowan-Salisbury School System, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; Grace Imes, daughter; Sherry McKenzie, granddaughter; Tonia Hairston, grandson; Michael Long, great-granddaughter; Tiara Hairston, siblings; David Lee Woods, Charles Woods , John L. Woods, Vera Housch and Betty Davidson.

Cherish leaves memories to her daughters; Annie Long, Johnnie Hairston, six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Friday December 20, at 1:00 p.m. New Hope A.M. E. Zion Church burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service all other times at the home. Public viewing Thursday 11:00 - 5:00 p.m.
