Bertha Mae Hairston 63, was born to the late Mary Elizabeth Blakeney and Wilbert Horton on January 15, 1958 in Norfolk, VA. Final transition was made on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She attended North Rowan High School and had been disabled for several years. She is survived by her sons; Larry Dean Hairston(Shannon), Keiyenne Hijin, daughter; Yasmina Siraj, brothers; Sylvester Horton, Bobby R. Blakeney, Harold Harris, sister Linda Henry, Shelia Blakeney, eighteen grandchildren, nephews, nieces, a host of other relatives and friends. Private funeral services will be Monday, April 26, at 1:00 p.m. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel; burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Public viewing will be Sunday 12:00- 5:00 P.M. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Hairston family.
