Betty Lousie Smith Hutchins 93, was born to the late George Washington Leach and Odessa Smith on May 11,1930 in Rowan County transition on January 9, 2024 at The Laurels of Salisbury in Salisbury,NC .

Ms. Hutchins attended Rowan-Salisbury School System, a LPN in New York and Salisbury,NC, a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church,Spencer, NC ,serving on the Missionary Board, Red Hat Society and different Civil organizations.

She enjoyed traveling when she was working and would drive anywhere because she said God was her Co-Pilot.She was a devoted friend and loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents , a devoted wife for many years  to husband Ejanor Hutchins,sister and other family members.

She is survived by her nephew; Ivey Goode, Jr, niece; Vanessa Goode, special cousins; Wanda Neely(Albert), Cindy Leach-Stevenson(Magellan), William Thompson, Gloria McClain,  Sharon Thompson and Curtis Mc Cright,a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service Sunday January 21, at 2:00 p.m. Jerusalem Baptist Church and burial will follow at New Hope A.M. E. ZIon Church Cemetery
