Betty Ann (Cox) Tomlin, 88, transitioned from this life into eternal peace and rest on Friday, September 13, 2024, unexpectedly at Novant Medical Center, Salisbury, North Carolina.

Betty was born March 28, 1936, to parents James Harold Cox and Alberta Cox in Troy, North Carolina. Betty's family moved to Pembleton, South Carolina, where she was reared and educated in the Anderson County school system.

Betty was a faithful member of the First Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Gospel Choir and the Kitchen Committee.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, her sons Dexter James Cox and Robert Earl Cox.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter Wilhemina (Anthony) Dildy of Salisbury, NC, son Frankie E. Cox Sr. of Greensboro, NC. Her grandchildren Frankie E Cox Jr. of Salisbury, NC, Tacara (Pierre) Jimenez of Salisbury, NC Nikki Cox of Greensboro, NC, Tico Cox of Greensboro, NC and Jamie Cox of Kannapolis, NC. Great grandchildren Nariya Jimenez, Talon Bethea and ShaKayla Jimenez. Her care giver Latisha (Chanel) Bost, many other friends and neighbors.
