Charity Gladden of Salisbury, born Sept. 25, 1952, passed on March 10, 2023, at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. She is a graduate of Salisbury High School and college graduate of Livingston College in Salisbury. She was last employed with Rowan Hospital in the Service Dept. and Henry Link furniture plant in Lexington. She leaves behind two daughters, Vanetta Gladden and Trinity Gladden; four brothers, Bennie (Teresea) Geter, Robert (Michelle) Geter, Joseph (Lisa) Geter, and John (Emma) Geter; and two sisters, Mary Geter and Josephine Geter. Arrangements: Service for Ms. Gladden will be Sunday, March 19, at New Hope AME Zion church in Salisbury at 1 p.m. viewing time, and 2 p.m. the service will start immediately. Rowan Funeral Home will be in charge of service.
