Edward "Darnell" Gibson 74, of Salisbury was born to the late Edward Wood Gibson and Evelyn C. Harris Gibson on June 2,1951 in Rowan County departed his Earthly Life on Friday September 26,2025 at  home sourrounded by love ones.

He was educated in the Rowan-Salisbury School Systems, he retired after twenty five years with HBD Hosiery Mill  and member of Rose of Sharon .

He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward W. Gibson, Evelyn Harris Gibson, spouse; Debra Jefferies Gibson, sons; Jay Imes ,Edward Gibson,Jr., brothers; Stanley Gibson, Deboise Harris, Kenneth Gibson and Nathaniel Gibson.

He leaves memories to his sons; Patrick Imess, Jonathan Gibson, of Albemarle,NC,Jerico Gibson, of the home, brothers;  Robert Gibson, Larry Gibson,sisters; Charity Gibson,Lavern Gibson, niece Diana Dalton ,caregiver, five grandchildren, nephews,nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services : Tuesday October 7,  1:00 p.m. at Rose of Sharon  burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friend  30 minutes prior to service. Public viewing Monday 11:00- 5:00 p.m.
