Elizabeth Watson, 87, passed away on August 29, 2026, at Liberty Commons Nursing Home.

Elizabeth Watson was born on January 4, 1939 in Salisbury, NC, to the late Norman F. Alexander and Minnie Caldwell and reared by Mozelle Alexander.

Elizabeth attended Salisbury-Rowan Schools. She was a fun loving mother and homemaker and a former member of Hall's Chapel.

Elizabeth was married to the late James A. Watson

Elizabeth was best known for her humor and straight talk.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Mozelle Alexander, stepmother, brothers; Leo Alexander ,Leon Alexander, Willie Alexander, James Allison, Roscoe Allison , Terry Alexander and sister; Carolyn Alexander .

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters; Karen Hancock (Reginald), Rita Alexander, Patricia Brooker(Charles), Donna Simpson(Steve), Minette Watson,sisters; Joan Bratcher(Robert), Constance Alexander, Corlis Phifer , brothers; Norman Alexander Jr,Gregory Alexander(Ishma) Scottie Watson , niece reared in the home Kimberly Watson, twenty-two grandchildren , twenty-one great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, nephews,nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Tuesday September 8, at 1:00 p.m. Rowan Funeral Services Chapel

Visitation: 30 minutes prior to service. Public viewing: Monday 12:00-3:00

Burial: Rowan Memorial Park 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury,NC 28144
