Essie Gladden Hailey 69, of Winston-Salem, NC  transitioned peacefully to eternal life on October 31, 2024  was born to the late James W. Gladden and the late Louise Abel Gladden on May 13, 1955 in Salisbury, NC .

Essie was last employed at the Industry for the Blind of Winston-Salem, NC, also while living in East Spencer, NC with Krider's Cafe as a well known cook Essie, was a bundle of joy who truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; she loved spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers ; Mary Boyd, Jessie Degraffenried, Larry Gladden and Eddie Gladden.

Essie leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter Stephanie Dickerson (Dexture) of Atlanta, GA, and her granddaughters; Lateresa Gladden  & Latayia Gladden both of Atlanta, GA, sister; Lucille Felder of Salisbury, NC, brothers; Rickey Gladden, of Washington, DC, Terry Gladden, of Salisbury, NC, a host of great aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday November 9, at 12:00 p.m at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel ,family will receive friends  one hour prior to funeral service. Public viewing  Friday 11:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Family will receive friends at 206 Henderlite Street, Salisbury, NC .
