Hazel Lee Cowan 52, of Salisbury made her final flight on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late Marcus H. Miller and Zella Cowan on July 13, 1969 in Rowan County. She was a faithful member of Moore's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Cleveland, NC serving as interim for the Steward Board and was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Joan Campbell, James Campbell and Ronald Cowan. She is survived by her son; Marcus Cowan (Ashley Miller), brothers; Willie Cowan, Randy Cowan, Albert Stinson, sister; Terri Cowan, grandchildren Ke'Marri, Ke'Miyah, Shanaya, Kanaya, Ja'Kiya, nephews; John, Anthony, nieces; Tasha, Kesha, Sheena, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services is Friday, August 13, at 3:00 p.m. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel; burial will follow in Moore's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery. Family visitation 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to funeral. Public viewing Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Cowan family.
