Helen Maetroy Cowan Beaty SALISBURY - Helen Maetroy Cowan Beaty 85 of Salisbury, fought a good fight and won the victory as she made her way home on September 22, 2020 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Beaty was born to the late Lino and Luvada Neely Cowan on June 1, 1935 in Rowan County. She attended R.A. Clement High School and was employed as certified Nursing Assistant at Heritage Home. She was a faithful member of God's Tabernacle of Believers. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Bernard Cowan, John Cowan, sisters; Odessa Jarrett, Dorothy Abel, Josephine Rhodes and Betsy Wilson. She leaves cherished memories to her husband of 64 plus years Arthur Beaty Jr., sons; Darryl Beaty (Felicia), Melvin Ingram, daughters; Rev. Shirley (Rev. Calvin) Cowan, Brenda Adams, Linda Beaty, sister; Ruby (Herbert) Melvin, grandchildren; Desha (Karl) Brooks, Latawayna Cowan, Dr. Amanda Brown, Darius (Erica) Beaty, Teressa Smyre, Clarissa Beaty, Olympia (Stanley) Pruitt, Jabore Beaty, Thomas Lowe, 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a host of other relatives and friends.
