James Henry Blackwell, Jr. 71 , of Salisbury, was born to the late James H. Blackwell, Sr.  and Mary Blackwell on September 5,1954 in Rowan County he passed away on Saturday February 28,2026.

Mr. Blackwell was a 1973 graduate of Boyden(Salisbury) High School and joined the US Air Force serving proudly.

He  was preceded in death by his parents; James H. Blackwell,Sr. Mary Blackwell, siblings: Donald Blackwell and Barbara Blackwell.

He is survived by his daughters; Carla Robertson, Shakita Ijames, Adrian Rankin, Kia'Andra Greer,ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren  brother; Curtis Blackwell, Winston-Salem, NC sisters; Deborah Blackwell,  Cheryl Smith ( Wynston), Sophie Blackwell, all of Salisbury, NC, Marilyn Blackwell, Rocky Mount, NC, Alfreda Thompson (Chris), Lisa Gasque (Que), both of Concord, NC, nephews, nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services:Thursday March 12, at 1:00 p.m Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. Family will receive friends 12:00- 1:00 p.m. burial will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m with Military Rites. Public viewing Wednesday 11:00-5:00p.m.
