James Alexander Cowan, Jr., 72, of Salisbury, NC was born to the late James Alexander Cowan Sr., and Josephine Faggot Cowan on July 12, 1951 in Rowan County departed his Earthly Life on Tuesday March 19, 2024 .

A 1969 graduate of East Rowan High School, serving in the US Army and later working at Parkdale Mills.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Cherry Ann Cowan.

He leaves memories to his sons;  Marcus Robinson, Alex Cowan, Cordarul Cowan both of Salisbury and ten grandchildren, cousins and  a host of friends.

Funeral Services 12:30 p.m. Wednesday April 3, Rowan Funeral Services Chapel following 2:00 p.m. burial Salisbury National Cemetery, with Military Rites. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Public viewing Tuesday 11:00 am- 5:00 p.m..
