Life on Earth is a transient affair, just a few brief years in which to prepare for a life that is free of pain and tears, where time is not counted by hours or years. Death for those who believe in the risen Lord is transition into a place to live with God through eternity. James Edward Fetherson made his transition on Wednesday September 4,2024 at his home in Raleigh, NC. We never know what tomorrow will bring for life is a mystery we can't understand, but "we live by faith, not by sight.(2Corinthians 5:7 NIV)

Son of Johnnie Earl Fetherson and the late Janie Mae Jones Fetherson was born April 23, 1950 in Union, SC. He was a 1968 graduate of Dunbar High School , employed by NC Finishing Company for twelve years. He attended Fairview Heights Baptist Church until moving to Raleigh, NC but always attended when back in Salisbury.

He was preceded in death by mother, sister; Rose Fetherson, brothers; Larry Fetherson and Frank Fetherson.

Those who will cherish his memories his father; Johnnie Earl Fetherson, son Reginald Wood, grandchildren; Ashley Wood, Alex Wood , three great-grandchildren, sister Dianetter (Samuel )Roman  of Lexington,NC , devoted friend Rev. Jerome Allison , a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service Saturday September 14, at 11:00 a.m. Fairview Heights Baptist Church.
