John Daniel Provoid, Jr. 72 of Salisbury was born to the late J. D. and Thelma Holmes Provoid on January 2, 1948 in Rowan County and departed his life on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House after an extended illness. He attended Dunbar High School and was employed at Piedmont Paving Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and son John Edward Parks. He is survived by his wife Joyce E. Provoid of the home, sons; Tracey Provoid, John Provoid, Terrell Parks, Deshawn Provoid, daughters; Tonia Parks, Vonda Provoid Young, brothers; Antown Provoid, Charles Provoid, sisters; Tawanda Campbell, Betty Terrell, 8 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nephews, nieces, a host of other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service: Monday December 22, at 6:00 P.M. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. Public viewing will be Sunday 2:00 -5:00 P.M. Rowan Funeral Services is serving the Provoid family.
