Johnnie Mae Torrence, 70, of Salisbury was born April 9, 1953 in Rowan County to John Glasco and Florence Oglesby departed her life on Wednesday May 10, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones at her home.

She was educated in the Rowan -Salisbury School System , a Certified Nursing Assistant  and member of Blessing of God Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son; Anthony Torrence,  daughter; Cassandra Oglesby,spouse;Gillie Torrence, brother; Theodore Oglesby, sisters; Priscilla Oglesby, Margaret Archie Knoz, Elaine Neely, and in laws; Clinton Blackwell(Louvia).

She leaves cherish memories to sons; Timothy Torrence, Brian Oglesby, daughters; Kim Morrow(Thomas), Felicia Torrence, Angela Oglesby, brothers; John Oglesby, James Olgesby, sisters; Shelia Oglesby Robinson,Laura Spratt, Allene Alexander, Aldonia Taylor, Carolyn Phillips(Leonard) sister-in-laws; Sarah Oglesby, Rose Mary Propst, brother-in-laws; Clinton Blackwell(Sonia), John Paul Blackwell, twenty eight grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren; nephews, nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will Tuesday May 16, at 5:00 p.m. Rowan Funeral Services Chapel, family will receive friends  one hour prior to service. Public viewing Tuesday 12:00 to funeral service. Burial will be Wednesday May 17, at 1:00 p.m. Salisbury National Cemetery.
