Obituary

SALISBURY – On Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at Glen A. Kiser Hospice House, God picked a beautiful flower from his garden, it was then he called Kathleen Chambers, born April 4, 1946, affectionately in Rowan County to the late George Allen Chambers and Esther Rosetta Cowan-Chambers. Kathleen was educated in Rowan County Schools. She was previously employed as a Private Duty Nurse in Salisbury. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joan Marie Lark; sisters, Corrine Chambers, Georgia Ann Rankin, Julia Ann Chambers, Ethel Neely, Pastor Minnie Rhyne, Susana Chambers-Smith; brothers, Arthur (Snook) Cowan, Frank Allen Chambers, James Roger Chambers, Joe Lee Chambers, William (Willie) Edward Chambers; adopted sons, James Lee and John Edward Woodson. Those who cherish her memories, spouse, William H. Hill, Sr.; daughters, Rosetta Chambers-Miller (Hubert), Gwendolyn Wilson; brother, John (Johnny) Robert Chambers; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Funeral Service Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. New Smith Chapel burial will follow in City Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one prior to service. Public viewing will be 4:30- 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Chambers family.
