Martha William Nevius, 84, of Salisbury, born to the late Eston Walter Williams and Ida Mae Bates Williams on September 25, 1937 made her transition on Sunday July 31, 2022 at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School, a retired Administrator from AT&T in Trenton, N.J. The Mother of the Church at World of Faith Ministries and former of New Salem Baptist Church Trenton, N.J. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Barney Williams; siblings, Virgil Williams, Wesley Bates, Twonia (Irene) Thomas, and Montressa Poag. She is survived by sons, Ronald Poag and Nevius Poag; brother, Alfred Williams; grandchildren, Danyelle Williams, Cameron Poag; special nieces, Gwendal Morrison, Tressa Herring, Sharon Thomas Alvertta Chambers, Shelia Thomas, Sheria Thomas, Shavon Neely, Jaydin Thomas; three other grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Public visitation Thursday, August 4th, 10:30 to 5:30. Funeral services Friday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. Word of Life Family Worship Center, Eulogist Dr. Rev.Martha Starks, burial will follow in City Memorial Park .
