Mary Lucille Montgomery Ellis 76, of Salisbury was born to the late Alma Montgomery Keaton on September 14, 1946 in Rowan County transition on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

She had attended RA Clement High School and a former member of Moores Chapel A.M.E. Zion where she had been on the Trustee Board and sang on the Choir. She retired from the Rowan- Salisbury School System and  was employed with McDonald's and Dollar General.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Alma  Keaton and John Lester Keaton ,sisters; Zena Morrison, Gwendolyn Keaton and Janie Keaton.

Cherished memories are left to special friend; John Ellis Jr.,daughters; Thelma Wilson, Phyllis Phifer(Howard), brothers; Alfonzo Keaton, Earl Keaton, John Lester Keaton, Paul Keaton(LaShonda), sister; Lorene Vaughters, three grandchildren, four great-grandchidren, special friends Doris Noble, Phyllis Steeleman, special cousin; Priscilla Price, nephews,nieces a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Saturday May 27, at 1:00 pm  Moores Chapel A.M.E. Zion burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will recieve friends at 12:00 noon and Public viewing will be Friday 11:00- 5:00 p.m..
