Mary Virginia Jones Leazer 95, of Salisbury was born to the late James and Betsy Johnson Jones on May 01, 1929 in Rowan County departed her Earthly life on May 15, 2024 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church Boyden Quarters and was last employed as a seamtress with R.A Norman's Drapery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; John Norman Leazer, Sr., son; Jerry Griffin, brothers; James Jones, Arthur Jones, Herman Jones,Sylvester Jones, Ernest Jones, sisters; Carrie Fleming, Colleen Harper, Annie Mae Jones, Louise Jones and Evelyn Moser.

She leaves cherished memories to son; Reggie ( Kay) Miller, daughters; Mary Gibson, Belinda (Lawrence) Kerr, Katherine Griffin, Tammy (Grant) Transou, eight grandchildren,ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, nieces,nephews a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Wednesday May 22, at 12:30 Mt. Zion Baptist Church Boyden Quarters and burial will be Thursday May 23,  at 10:00 Salisbury National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service at other times, home of her daughter Belinda Kerr.
