Mary Elizabeth Fleming McGuire 99, of Salisbury was born to the late Robert Lee and Susie Mae McKinney Fleming Sr.,in Rowan County on October 24, 1924 transition to her final resting place on March 13,2024 at  Compass Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She attended Rowan-Salisbury School , a Licensed Practical Nurse working in the hospital. She was of Protestant faith and a member of Moore's Chapel A.M.E Zion where she served on the Lay Council President, Member of the Usher Board and Missionary Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Paul McGuire Sr., sons; Paul McGuire, Jr., Robert Winston Mc Guire, daughter; Dorothy McGuire and eight siblings, WOT Fleming, Robert Fleming, Jr. Charles Fleming, James Fleming, Harold Fleming, Lewis Fleming, Naomia GIbson Fleming and Virgina Fleming.

Memories are left to be cherished by son, James Henry(Barbara)McGuire , sister; Jacqueline Herndon, six grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Thursday March 21, at 12:30 Moore's Chapel A.M. E. Zion burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service.
