Melvin Eugene
Fisher
Oct 26, 1952 — Mar 3, 2025
Salisbury
Melvin Eugene Fisher, 72, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away from this earthly life and entered eternal rest on Monday March 3, 2025, at The Meadows of Rockwell, North Carolina.
"Fish" as he was affectionately called, was born in Salisbury North Carolina on October 26, 1952, and was born to the late Rosa Mae Fisher and Raymond White.
He was educated in the Rowan Salisbury Schools. He was employed by Parkdale Mills for over 25 years until retirement. He had an immaculate work ethic, it was rare for him to miss days.
Fish enjoyed socializing, spending time with family and friends and always making jokes. He had a very distinct laugh and infectious smile. He enjoyed sports and always had a "ball ticket" to bet on the game. He always reminded us of all his love for fast cars and he always had the newest edition in his younger days. To know him was to truly love him, He had a very helpful spirit, if he had it and you needed it, he didn't mind sharing.
Although Fish is gone, he will live in our hearts forever. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, wife, Geraldine L. Fisher and sons, Nigel Fisher and Steven Gaither.
Left to cherish his beautiful memories are his two beautiful daughters Melvilyn Gaither and Adrienne Allison (Curtis) of Salisbury, NC. His grandchildren, Andrea Gaston, Taylor Warren, Selena Royce, Jasmaine Allison of Salisbury NC; and grandson Terrell Allison of Greensboro NC. His brother Roger White of Kannapolis NC. His daughter in law Valerie Goodlett Gaither, sister-in-law, Rosie Gaither, and Shirley Gaither-Farid (Elaa) both of Mocksville NC. Special Family Members Laniece Gray, David Gray and Lisa Thompson.
