Obituary

SALISBURY – Mildred Elizabeth Lynn Cook was born to the late Baxter and Early Hyde Lynn on Sept. 22, 1940 in Rowan County. She departed her Earthly Life on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center. A 1958 graduate of J C Price High School,retired from WG 'Bill ' Hefner Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant. A lifelong member of Hall's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church where she served as Mother of The Church, Matron, Deaconess and Assistant to Church Clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dora Wells, Marie McGee,Catherine Roebuck, Beatrice Grasty. Roscoe Lynn, John Lynn, Frank Lynn, Nancy Oakman,Joseph Lynn; and spouse, James Cook. Those left to cherish her memories are daughters, Beatrice Cook House, Theresa Ann Cook, Pamela Cook LeBlanc; grandchildren, Bryon House, James House, Kisha Cook,Kabrina Cook, Kenyetta LeBlanc Taylor and Andrew LeBlanc; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Arrangements: Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hall's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral. Public viewing Wednesday 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Cook family
