Percy Fay Twitty was born on December 20,1952 in Rutherfordton, NC to the late Roy Fay Twitty and Dorothy Martin Twitty. He departed this life suddenly on June 1, 2024 at the age of 71.

He was educated in the Rowan Salisbury School System. Percy was a hard worker. He was employed by Carter Chair Corporation in Salisbury, NC for over 25 years where he built furniture. Percy had a humble spirit and was the sweetest person you ever want to meet. As the oldest of eight, Percy enjoyed playing jokes and pranks on his younger siblings. He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, going to the pool hall, riding a bike, or driving fast around town. Percy's  best friend was his brother Spencer, from childhood they were inseparable and lived together until death.

Preceded in death by his parent Roy Fay Twitty and Dorothy Martin Twitty and sister Libby Twitty-Toppings, left to cherish his memories are brothers: Roy Spencer Twitty of the home, James Hamilton(Pam) of Rutherfordton, Calvin Twitty(Serena)of Salisbury, sisters; Bettye Twitty-Cuthbertson of Salisbury, Dorothy Twitty-Burnon of Salisbury, Patsy Twitty of Greensboro and Linda Twitty-Woods(Roy Woods) of Greensboro, nieces, nephews, cousins a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Monday June 10, at 1:00 p.m. Rowan Funeral Services Chapel, burial will follow in City Memorial Park.
