Raymond McDaniel Chapman, Sr. 71, of Salisbury was born to the late Luther and Ruth Lee Chapman, Sr. in Cheraw, SC on May 31, 1949 and passed away on Saturday January 2, 2021 at Novant Health Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. Mr. Chapman attended school in Chesterfield County and was last employed as groundskeeper with the City of Salisbury. He was a member of Mt. Zion C.M.E. He was preceded in death by parents; siblings; Luther Chapman, Jr, Wiley Chapman, A.Q. Chapman, Azalee Chapman, and Margaret Burr. He leaves memories to his spouse; Dorothy Ellis Chapman, son; Raymond Chapman, Jr., daughters; Sharvon Chapman, Carla(Terry) Hunter, Jamie(Tracy) Houpe, sisters; Loretta Kincaid, Tarrie Lee Allen, Long Island, NY, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday January 12, at 12:00 Noon at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Public viewing will be Monday 10:00 - 5:30 P.M. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Chapman family.
