Ricky Darnell Blackwell 63, of Salisbury was born to the late Kennethe R. Blackwell and Julia Avery Blackwell on July 4, 1962 in Rowan County transition on Monday January 5, 2026 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center.

He attended local schools in the area and was well loved throughout the community. A participant of the Carter House for over forty years. A very humble and gentle man loved by many and will forever be missed but never forgotten.

Ricky was always full of laughter and he loved being with his family. He will be missed by his loved ones for never having a dull moment when Ricky was present.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; Carolyn Williams,Kenneth Blackwell Jr., Carlton Blackwell and Margaret Blackwell.

He leaves memories to his siblings; Benjamin Blackwell, Winston-Salem, Alvin Blackwell, Gail Blackwell, Beverly Goodjohn, all of Salisbury,NC  nieces,nephews,a host of other relatives and friends. special thanks :cousin; Terry Gladden and Willie Hosche Family,
