Robert Correll 98, of Salisbury transitioned for his final rest on Sunday December 12, 2021 at his home was born to the late Henry and Bertha Correll on August 14, 1923 in Rowan County. Robert was a graduate of Dunbar High School, a veteran of the US Army Company "A" 171st Military Police Battalion from 1950 to 1952. He worked in the US Printing Office 1952 to 1955. He established himself as an entrepreneur with opening RC Restaurant and the 1440 Entertainment Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Vivian Correll, Walter Correll, Randolph Correll, sisters; Claudine Correll and Betty Correll. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years Dora Glasper Correll of the home, five children; Iris Kelly, Paducah, KY, Romano Solomon, Bowie, MD, Pamela Jefferies, Salisbury, NC Viroqa Correll, Winston-Salme, NC, TC Correll, Salisbury, NC, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services Friday December 17, at 12:30 Rowan Funeral Services Chapel, burial will follow Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive 30 minutes prior to service. Public viewing Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Correll family.
