Robert Lee Cowan 72, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday March 11, 2021 and was born to the late Willie James and Elizabeth Propst Cowan on July 25, 1948 in Rowan County. He was a graduate of Salisbury - Rowan Schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed as a driver for Homes Concrete. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Joe Cowan, and sister Sabrina Shay. He is survived by his son; Ricky (Brittany ) Cowan, daughters; Alisha Cowan, Tracey Hooker, brothers; James E. (Emma) Cowan of Lexington, NC, Roger (Patricia) Cowan of Salisbury, Pastor Calvin (Shirley) Cowan of Salisbury, sister; Sandra L. Cowan, nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, at 11:00 A.M. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel and burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Salisbury National Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday 10:00 - 5:00 P.M. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Cowan family.
