Robert Doud 'Bo-Didley' Rawls, 82, of Salisbury was born to the late Robert Shaver and Ora Ferren Rawls on July 28, 1939 in Rowan County and made his final destination on Friday Nov. 26, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center. He attended R. A. Clement High School, retired from Hersey Meters Company and had attended Shady Grove Baptist Church Bear Poplar. A former President of the Shining Stars. He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Cynthia Simpson Rawls; brothers, Tommie Ferren and Ray Ferren. He leaves to cherish memories his sons, Robert F. (Marsha) Rawls, W.Va., Ricky Rawls, Winston-Salem, Warren N. Simpson, Salisbury; grandson reared in the home, Letwon Faulk, Salisbury; daughters, Annette Rawls, Salisbury, Frances (Lanai) (Warren) Massey, Salisbury, Tiffini Simpson, Greensboro, NC, Detra (Keith) Worth, East Spencer; granddaughter reared in the home, Tiara Faulk, Salisbury; a special grandson; Ashtin Faulk, Salisbury; fourteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Funeral Services will be Saturday Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family visitation 30 minutes prior to funeral services. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Rawls family.
