Ruth Bost Wood, 103, quietly went into eternal rest on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Glenn A Kiser Hospice House. She was born to the late Henry Bost and Roxie Wood on May 13, 1919, in Rowan County. A loving person with a blessed life of many years, she was a member of Knox Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for 48 years and was employed for over 50 years for the Borland Family. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, William F. Wood; and siblings, Hattie Wood, Henrietta Brown, Pauline White, J. Will Bost, James Bost, Isiah Bost, Robert Bost, Will Bost, Joanna Fritzgerald, Maxine Cornelius; Larry Bost, J. Henry Bost, and Hardy G. White, Sr. She was a loving woman that loved everyone. Memories are left to her daughters: Mary Ruth Bost and Andrea Bost; niece, Rose C. White; nieces; nephews; special friends, Blanche Geter and Mary Carson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Funeral Service Sunday, November 27, at 2 p.m. at Knox Grove Baptist Church, Cleveland, NC. Family visitation 1:30-2 p.m. and public viewing Saturday 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will follow at Allen Temple Presbyterian Church.
