Sarah Jean Wilborn Evans 77, of Salisbury, was born to the late William Wilborn and Sarah Hayes Wilborn on Feb. 16, 1945, in Rowan County. She departed her earthly life on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Autumn Care Nursing Home. Mrs. Evans attended Dunbar High School and was last employed with Bayada. She attended Henderson Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garfield L. Evans, Sr.; sisters, Sadie Whisonant, Minnie Lee Wilson, Pauline Holmes; and granddaughter, Farrah Evans. She leaves memories to her sons, Franklin Evans(Greta), Garfield Evans, Jr.(Tavia); daughters, Jacqueline Mills(Reggie), Dianne Kelly(James), Latrese Kendall; sister, Margaret Ingram-Jones; brothers, Franklin Ingram and Melvin Ingram; special niece, Tonya Holmes; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Funeral Services Thursday, April 7, at 1 p.m. Gethsemane Baptist Church, Rev. Perry Dye Eulogist, burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to funeral services. Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Evans family.
