Sharon Duone Brown Jones 68, was born August 30, 1954 to Georgetta Atkinson Brown and the late Harry Brown Sr.  in Thomasville , NC, made her transition at Novant Forsyth Medical Center on Saturday August 5, 2023.

Mrs. Jones was a 1972 graduate of Thomasville High School, graduate of North Carolina Central University and later received her Master Degree in Education from Gardner-Webb. She began her teaching career in Elementery Education in 1987 with Lexington City Schools and later retired as an Administrator from the Winston-Salem -Forsyth School System 2020.  A faithful member  and Trustee  at Florida United Holy Church and former member of First Missionary Baptist Church (Thomasville)and Friendship Baptist Church(Lexington) ,a member Omicron Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her father: Harry Brown, Sr., aunt; Joan Brown and niece; Sonya Anderson.

She is leaves precious memories to her mother; Georgetta E. Ferguson, husband; Marvin Jones of the home, daughters; Noki Anderson, Erika Jones(Fred), both of Charlotte, NC, brothers; Harry Brown (Gail) Reidsville , Jeff Hundley Thomasville, NC, sister; Tanya (Robert)Tyson,Newnan, Georgia, grandson; Myles Anderson , of Charlotte,NC, granddaughters; Havana, Bella and Eva Jones and Johanna London-Baldwin,all of Charlotte,NC  uncle; James R. BrownThomasville, NC, nephews; niece and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services; Friday August 11, at 1:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church , 103 Church Street, Thomasville, NC , entombment will follow at Biblical Gardens, Jamestown, NC. Family Visitation; 12:00- 1:00 at other times at the home. Public viewing Thursday 11:00- 5:00p.m.
