Tonya LaShawn Tate 50, of Statesville passed away on Friday August at Wake Forest Medical Center was born to the late James and Joyce Hairston Tate on July 6, 1973 in Iredell County.

She was a caregiver and a member of Miracle Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Lisa Redmond and Anthony Harper.

She is survived by her son; Tyrell Tate, daughters; Candice Tate, Kearra Gillispie, TyShay Campbell, goddaughters; DiAsha Posey, Natajia Freeman,brothers;Lonnie Harper(Dana) James Davidson(Sophia), Lucas Chambers, sisters; Victoria Redmond, Tammy Wilson(Martin),godsister; Shelia Dobbins, fifteen grandchildren, nephews,nieces, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services Saturday August 12, at 6:00 p.m. at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont, 1424 Rickert Street, Statesville, NC . Family will receive at 5:00 prior to the service . Interment will be private.
