William " Billy" Nokumbis Phillips 90, was born to the late Ada Conyers Phillips on September 11,1935 in Rowan County transitioned on Tuesday October 7, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House .

He attended  Rowan -Salisbury Schools, he was a construction worker and had  attended Henderson Grove Baptist Church before declining health.

He loved things to be clean  and  was always sweeping his porch off. He always greeted you with a warm smile.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ada C. Phillips and a son William Phillips.

He is survived by  his spouse of sixty eight years Ella Brown Phillips,son; Timothy Phillips,daughters; Teresa Phillips, Lori Phillips, a special cousin and caregiver; Mary Gray,seven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren. a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral  Sunday October 19, 2025 3:00p.m. Rowan Funeral Services Chapel family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Public Viewing: Saturday October 18, 12:00-4:00p.m
