Willie Gadson, Sr., 87, was born in Fairfield County, South Carolina, to Hampton Wade and Annie Gadson on January 29,  1939. He passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
He was educated in the schools of Fairfield County, South Carolina, and Rowan County, North Carolina.

Willie was employed with Hood's Theological Seminary, where he faithfully served as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was also a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hampton Wade and Annie Gadson; his beloved spouse, Lorene Gadson; his son, Willie Gadson, Jr.; and his brothers, Gable Gadson, Fred Gadson, Carl
Gadson, Ernest Gadson, Thomas Gadson, and Rice Gadson.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his sons, George Gadson and James Gadson; and his daughters, Helen J. Gadson, Mary Gadson, Jacqueline Y. Gadson, Shirl Rena Gadson, Patricia Ann
Gadson-Tucker, Janetta Anice Gadson, and Tamika Gadson. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; his brother, Eddie Gadson; his sisters, Ida Mae Yarborough, Betty Curlee, Geraldine Seibles (James), and Christine Kelly (Ivan); his sisters-in-law: Vermell Gadson, Betty Jean Jones and Prudence Gadson; along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
