Iler (Barger) Davis

Iler "Beetsie"Barger Davis 88, of Salisbury was born to the late James Barger and Ruth Coleman Barger on November 30,1935 in Rowan County transitioned into her new life on January 4,2024 in Guilford  County.

Mrs. Davis was a graduate of JC Price High School , a very active in the Alumni Chapter of JC Price High School , retired from Cannon Mills and worked as a Daycare worker at Kiddie-Land  she loved her babies. A lifelong member of Hall's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church where she sang on the Senior Choir , Trustee and  Southwestern  District Matrons Auxiliary.

Beetsie worked in all areas of the Primitive Baptist Order District, State,and National levels.She was  a regular attendee to the National Primitive Baptist Convention, the National Winter Board and F.L. Livingstone Institute and a member of the National Women of  Church Auxiliary.

Beetsie loved her family and friends, and loved gathering together for social events, her  favorite place was always her bedroom where he enjoyed watching television and talking on the phone. She will be missed by those that loved her.

She was  preceded in death by her parents; brother; Paul Barger and husband DeLafayette Davis .

She leaves cherished memories to her sons; Berry Barger(Patricia Aaron), Antonio Witherspoon, Richard Witherspoon and Guanah Davis (Dr. Lisa Davis), brother : Levi Barger ,eight grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends.

Family  Visitation  4:00- 6:00 p.m Wednesday January 17, at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will be  Thursday January 18,at 1:00 p.m. Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd and "Celebration of Life"  will follow at The Primitive Baptist Convention Center in East Spencer,NC.
